Road Trip up to Lygia

We read that many cruising sailors liked a small little port on the mainland north of Preveza called Lygia.

As a result, we decided to take the scooter and find the spot. (We were not able to pass by on our way south)

We arrived in time for an early dinner and saw that indeed this is very small.  We saw the port and decided to motor up a tight small road up the coast and found an interesting beach area called Vrachos Beach.

There were only a few people enjoying the beach as the season is really coming to an abrupt end but it was a neat little strip of sand with a lovely view across the sea to Paxos and Anti Paxos.

We scooted back to Lygia for a lovely traditional Greek dinner as the sun set.

As we left Lygia, we noticed we were out of gas in the scooter!  No Kidding!!!

We scooted along the main highway and just as the engine was starting to choke a bit, we found a gas station!  Whew!!  Lesson learned but it did add to the excitement of the day!

We made it safely back to the boat and settled in for a great evening of 'Breaking Bad', a TV series we had recorded and are watching each evening.

It is even better with popcorn!!
