Day of Sailing - Old Corfu - Kalami Bay - Agni
We decided to leave the Marina for an afternoon of sailing.
We cruised under power (no wind) over to Old Corfu which we have enjoyed exploring with the scooter and on foot. It is even more beautiful by boat and it was great to see it from a different perspective.
We enjoyed lunch as we cruised Corfu and then decided to head up the East Coast toward Agni where we had enjoyed such a great lunch the day before.
Agni was quite busy with boats at anchor so we went to the next bay over which is literally 2 minutes and anchored.
Kalami Bay is much larger than Agni and was a great place to spend a couple of hours.
Rob cleaned the waterline while I held him with a rope from the decks above. Felt like I was trying to reel in a big one!
After that was finished, I lanunched a paddle board and made my way around the bay. Great views and a good work out!
We were enjoying our time so much we decided to stay the night and return to the Marina in the morning.
After dinner in the cockpit, we went below and began to enjoy yet another episode of the Soprano's. We have been working our way through these great HBO series that we missed first time around and it is a great way to spend evenings on the boat.
We heard a knock at the boat around 8pm. A couple of young men on a power boat wished to inform us that there was a festival in the bay that evening and that there would be fireworks. They advised us we should move the boat to the corner of the bay to avoid damage.
We moved alright! Back over to Agni we toured not wanting to chance falling fireworks on the new boat.
We toured along the coast the next morning in calm seas back to Gouvia.
Short tour but very nice!!!
