Paxos - One of the Top 25 Greatest Escapes in the World - Lakka

Paxos is about 16 nm south of Corfu.  It is 5 miles long and 2 miles wide.

We stopped at the very north end to check out the anchorage, Lakka and did not leave.

The water in Lakka resembles the British Virgin Islands and the turquoise water we really have become accustomed to over the winter.

We anchored in a group of equally lucky people to be here.

This is quite a large harbour and was great for a long paddle board followed by a much enjoyed swim in the turquoise waters.

We met our neighbors from Belgium as Jullian kindly hopped into the water and rescued Rob's hat and called over to him.  Rob had lost it while swimming and cleaning the waterline on The Lodge.  We swam and chatted for about 45 min as the salt water was so warm it is so easy to float in!

Jullian and his wife have an ice maker on their boat.  Nice!

Lakka is truly a beautiful place!!!
